Why We Help...
We wanted to find a way to give back to the lifestyle that has given so much to us personally. Nine years ago, we were both working full time jobs and still living paycheck to paycheck. We were not sure how all of our bills were getting paid much less how our kids were going to have a Christmas, it was our lifestyle family that stepped up without thinking twice. We were fortunate enough to have people in our lives to help but we know that not everyone does. We decided then even if it’s only 1 family we help we wanted to make a difference. This will be our 8th year and along with everyone’s help who has ever contributed we have been able to provide food, clothes, everyday essentials, utility and car payments, help with medical bills and make sure there were presents under the tree Christmas morning for over 15 families. We are excited to continue the tradition this year
Thank you all

How it works...
"Sharing is Caring" families are nominated to us by others in the lifestyle. Their names are kept confidential unless the families choose otherwise. The requirements we have are: the parents / guardians must be in the lifestyle, have children under 16 and have a legitimate need for help that is due to things beyond their own control such as loss of job, death in the family, sudden change in their income, extended illness etc... These needs can range from gift cards for needed expenses, presents under a tree for a family with none, groceries to put food on their table, paying for a delivery of oil for heat, helping to pay electric bills, gas to get to places etc.... We also realize that these things are not only holiday related and this year we did the program a couple of times due to so many families needing help.
What they are saying....

"Let me share a heartwarming story- One day a couple of years ago, we suddenly had three foster kids come to our home-we weren't foster parents, but we knew these kids needed a loving home. They arrived with trash bags filled with the little they owned, having lived in a nearby motel. It was close to Thanksgiving, and the months were cold. I was unsure how I would provide for them or give them a magical Christmas, as becoming foster parents takes an extremely long time. But Kim and Phil selflessly added us to the sharing is caring list, and what a blessing that was! They arrived at our house with Santa and some elves, bearing plenty of food, household items, and gifts for the kids, including some for my own children. It was a humbling moment, one that I can never fully repay.
They truly saved the holiday for these precious children. What they do for those in need is nothing short of amazing and a wonderful blessing to those struggling. I'm so grateful to call them my dear friends who have become family."

"Hello everyone, I want to take the time to tell you about my experience with Sharing with caring. The day of Santa’s breakfast, Kim asked me to take a seat on Mrs. clauses lap. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Kim and Phil talking to my kids and their eyes light up. I was handed an envelope, and I immediately broke into tears. All of us walked outside, and I cried even harder once I saw the back of their car.. and was told this is all yours! No one will ever truly know how much that made me feel! To have “strangers” love you so much to help you in your time of need! Everyone that had a hand in it has the biggest heart!! My kids and my Christmas was just that more special!"

I can’t speak more highly of our experience and what it meant to our family. From the first day you could feel that you genuinely were cared about. You could tell how much thought was given into each family member by what was done for us. This experience really made a significant impact on us and being able to have a good holiday. I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience and to Phil and Kim for doing this for so many people.

We would like to shout out to everyone that they should get involved with the group Sharing is Caring if they have the opportunity
What an amazing thing they do for deserving people. Especially during the holidays when there are children involved. After finding out a mom we knew had to tell her kids there weren’t going to be presents for Christmas, we tried to figure out how to help. We heard about this program, and they were accepting nominations for families in need. This was the perfect opportunity! We were thrilled she and her kids were accepted to receive a boatload of presents and necessary personal and cleaning items as well!
Please get involved anyway you can
